Our Mission

Hold the Line PAC champions the next generation of Democratic leaders committed to protecting our democracy, defending voting rights, and fighting back against the rise of authoritarianism in America.

Our mission is simple: defeat MAGA, anti-democracy Republicans at the ballot box — and elect leaders who will stand up for the values that make this country worth fighting for.

We know America isn’t perfect. But it was already great long before Donald Trump came along. We’re not here to go backward. We’re here to build a future that’s more just, more inclusive, and more democratic — and we won’t rest until that future wins.

Our Founding Story

After running against Marjorie Taylor Greene in one of the most high-profile races of 2022, Army veteran Marcus Flowers knew the fight for American democracy was far from over. The threats were growing — not just from fringe figures like Greene, but from a Republican Party increasingly defined by its embrace of authoritarianism, conspiracy theories, and a twice-impeached, insurrectionist former president.

Marcus founded Hold the Line PAC to stand strong against the rising tide of extremism. As attacks on our democratic institutions accelerate, we need leaders who are ready for the fight — leaders who won’t back down, won’t be intimidated, and won’t compromise on core American values. We back those leaders. We give them the support they need to hold the line.

Since our founding in 2024, Hold the Line has raised funds in support of Democratic candidates and causes. We’ve helped elect and reelect champions like Mayor-Elect Gina Ortiz Jones and Democratic Congressman Don Davis, and in the 2025-2026 cycle, we’re preparing to support a new wave of pro-democracy, pro-America leaders.

Protecting Democracy in the States

In 2024, Hold the Line PAC launched aggressive independent expenditure campaigns in key battlegrounds to fight back against MAGA Republicans and defend democratic values where they’re most under threat.

In North Carolina’s 1st Congressional District, we supported the successful reelection campaign of Democratic Congressman Don Davis, helping to keep this critical swing seat in pro-democracy hands.

In Texas, we backed Gina Ortiz Jones in her historic campaign for Mayor of San Antonio, resulting in a victory in the June run-off election, despite major spending from Abbott-backed PACs.

In 2025, we launched a hard-hitting ad campaign exposing a far-right North Carolina Supreme Court candidate who tried to overturn the results of a free and fair election — putting the threat to voting rights front and center for North Carolina voters.

We don’t just talk about protecting democracy — we do the work.
